Myanmar is one of the Korean cultural influenced countries in the world. Not only young Myanmar people but also old people like Korean movies, song, food, costume and lifestyle and so on. As for me, I like Korean drama film, dancing such as K-pop and PSY, and some food as I cannot say the name of traditional food. This situation, last June 2017, AKS (The Academy of Korean Studies) invited to us as Textbook Specialists from Myanmar to visit Korea. Our participants are very happy to visit Korea. We stayed from July 3 to 8, 2017 for 6 days and 5 nights in South Korea. Firstly, we stay Guest House of AKS for 2 nights and 3 days and then we go to Gyeongju as historical sites for 2 nights at Gyeongju Hilton Hotel. Finally, we go to Seoul and stay at Koreana Hotel for one night and 2 days.

In AKS, we firstly observed and studied to the Foreign Textbook Library at CEFIA and Jangseogak-Joseon Dynasty Royal Archives. Afternoon, we discussed and interested in lecture of “Economic Growth of South Korea”, Professor Cho Young-Jun. Second day of AKS, we met to greet Vice-President Professor Shin Jong-Won and Professor Yang Young-Kyun. And we studied and got knowledge of the Education system and textbook compilation, editing, printing and publish system of Korea at Conference room of CEFIA. Professor Lee Wan-Bom explained and discussed to us as the entitled of “History of Korea’s International Relation”, Ahn Ji-Young, Senior Researcher explained “Integration of More Authentic Information about Korea into Myanmar” and Senior Researcher Dr. Park So-Young gave us the necessary data and books about Korea. These lectures are valuable information for Myanmar participants and we disseminate our students and related persons. Our participants also respectively explained and discussed the entitled “Rejuvenating Myanmar Education with the National Education Law” and “Curriculum Reform and Teacher Education Project” from Professor Maung Maung AYE, “Korea in the History Textbooks of Myanmar” from Professor Dr. Yee Yee WIN, “South Korea (ROK) from Myanmar Textbooks (Geography)” from Professor Dr. Kyaw KYAW, and “Status of Korean Language Study in Myanmar” from Professor Phyu Phyu EI.

At Gyeongju, field trip to the POSCO (formerly Pohang Iron and Steel Company) was arrived and observed. I formerly knew the motto of POSCO- “Resources are Limited; Production is Unlimited” and now I saw the changes of the motto “Resources are Limited; Creativity is Unlimited”, so we are very amazing!. Famous cultural and historical sites were observed such as Seokguram Grotto-National Treasure No.24, Bulguksa Temple- Historical Site 502, Daereungwon Tomb Park- Historical Site 512, and Gyeongju National Museum (Ancient Treasure of Silla) at Gyeongju. Finally we arrived at Seoul and went to Gyeongbokgung Palace- Main Royal Palace of the Joseon Dynasty. This Palace was seen as one of the tourist attraction sites of Korea and so many people including foreigners visited and photographed in this site. This is very important for us and we should try and will try to visit from tourists around the world to Myanmar Ancient Royal Palace, Mandalay like Gyeongbokgung Palace- Main Royal Palace, Seoul. Another very famous tourist arrival area is the Insadong Cultural District where we bought gifts from souvenir shops for our friends and related persons of Myanmar. We never forget to Repertory Performance: Korean Sim Cheong- beautiful story of caring between father and daughter.

Very special thanks to the Academy of Korean Studies and everyone who accompanied us --- to stay, to safety field trips, to eat delicious Korean traditional foods and drinks, and so many remembrances to visit Korea. We hope Korea and Myanmar mutually cooperation for the future education relationship and economic development.
